I got a bag of 50 random foreign coins from Amazon, and I have been successful in identifying all but one. Can anyone help me with either the country, date or denomination of this coin. Thanks.

Yep, that's the one. I never would have guessed Ethiopia. I was searching all the Middle Easten countries. I spent hours today searching. Wish I had tried this forum sooner. Thank you so much for your help.

After more research, I am going to assume this is a five-cent coin as it measures 20 mm. The 10-cent coin is 23 mm. Sorry that I didn't include this info in my original post.

I have another coin just like it although not is as good of shape. Is the date stamped on the coin, or is it the design that determines the date the coin was minted?

Do you have the link to the bag of 50 random foreign coins on Amazon, please ?

(I've searched for it but not found it).

It has been several months since I bought it, so Amazon may not have it available anymore. Littleton Coin Company sells a 1/2 pound of Foreign Coins for under $20. You might check there.

In regards to the dating issue. I found a site that listed the Ethiopian numbering system, so I figured it out.
