I just got some Kennedy half dollar proof coins sealed in "US Mint Cello". Now I'm wondering if I can take them out of the cello and put them in a different holder. Will that change the value?

What's the best holder for proof coins?

I have some new proof Eisenhowers as well, but they're going in a Dansco album I just ordered.

The cello doesn't really add value. Air-tites are nice for proof coins.

Air tites are good. Albums are alright, although I dont like that that much with proofs, the slightest little marks will stick out on proofs and its hard to get them in the album still clean.
Rest in Peace

Uh, except for the 1964 P proof, none of the proof Kennedy halves came in "mint cello", they all came in hard cases. If it's in mint cello, its an uncirculated coin, but not proof.

thanks. That's good to know. I didn't pay that much for them anyway... so I don't feel like I lost out on anything
