Along with venturing into the Seleucid coins today, I also wandered into the Byzantine Era and purchased what I think is a fairly nice Justinian Follis. It is a nice large and heavy coin as you can see. Like the Selecuid coin, I didn't break the bank with this coin either. I paid a total $13.42 with shipping included.

Justinian, AE Follis, SB 160, struck at Constantinople

Bing => two great looking new coin(s) ... you're on a roll!!

Ummmm? ... but hey, are these new coins that you're purchasing coming from the bunch that you are cleaning for the European-gang? ... are you cleaning-up all of their coins and then offering to buy the nice ones, or what? ... that's a bit like being a strawberry-picker that's sitting in the middle of the field eating all of the juicy ones!! (the inside-man is always a great place to be!!)

Jerry, no these are not from the metal detectorists. Although I will admit that I have made an offer on behalf of one of the other CCF members to buy some of the coins, but I have not heard back as yet. I have one more group to ID, but they are really rough so I doubt I will get a full attribution.

The short answer to your question though is no.

very nice coin. I have some half dollar size coin flips that are
begging for a nice big byzantine coin to go in them.

For those of you who regularly collect Byzantine coins, I would like to ask for you to double-check my attribution on this coin. Thanks
