ebay will not let me post a coin that had been graded by NGC to be listed as a graded coin... They only allow 3 to 4 companies to be named or allowed to be stated as a "graded" or Mint State coin. Anybody know a way around it or had this problem? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

PCGS, NGC, ICG & ANACS are ok. All other including Joe's U-SLAB-IT are not.

I'm pretty sure you also have to take the step to include the cert number or it will be rejected but ngc is one of the accepted companies

Quote: It might not have been a NGC slab Obviously...but...you said you are trying to sell it on ebay. Maybe it's just me but I would look at it and read it. That would remove "might not have been" from the equation... This DOES make the assumption that you actually have possession of the coin you are trying to sell.

"This DOES make the assumption that you actually have possession of the coin you are trying to sell." Not sure what you mean.... ebay left it on for seven days before removing it JUST before the auction ended. I had a bid and the bid went through.... therefore I sent the coin after being paid. The buyer though I pulled the coin just before the auction ended and was upset until I told him that it was on its way to him.

I honestly have no clue whats going on anymore with this story. I'm not trying to be hostile or anything but it sounds like you arent sure if its an NGC coin, the auction was pulled but sent the coin to the buyer anyway?

It might not have been a NGC slab I'm guessing this is just a simple misunderstanding and not shenanigans. How could you post an ebay auction for an NGC-slabbed con, without knowing who slabbed it?

ebay usually sends you an e-mail explaining why the item got pulled, don't they? Did they say the coin was not from a recognized company in the e-mail? If so, then there must have been some doubt that it actually was an NGC-slabbed coin. Either (a) you were mistaken and it wasn't really an NGC slab, (b) you'd taken the coin out of the slab but still tried to sell it as a slabbed coin (I'm afraid that doesn't count), or (c) your pictures did not provide sufficient evidence that it was actually an NGC-slabbed coin. If either (a) or (b) are true, then you're likely to have one unhappy customer. If (c), then include better pictures of the slab next time.
