How exactly rare is this penny? I was thinking about buying an unopened OBW roll of them on ebay to search through them but was wondering if it was even worth it?

Very, very, very rare.

I suspect the ebay auction is meant to appeal to those who hope for very rare things ...

Indeed ... just so you know ... a knowledgeable dealer who has interest in this roll would pay about $2.50 for it ... and then only if they had customers to whom they could sell the coins or the roll.

My honest opinion ... stay away.

Believe me, I wasn't willing to spend more the 5 dollars on the thing! I'm amazed it has gotten that high.

People have all kinds of extra money, that's why they waste gas by driving too fast! The average american spends 15-30% more for gas than they should.
