I want to thank the CCF for the guidance in my moments of weakness, primarily with my Seated Liberty dollar selection. ...and here is another!

There is one rim ding around 12 O'clock, but it is in a "no problem" NGC slab.

I really appreciate your comments!

I know how hard you have been looking for the right Seated dollar and I know the feeling of "need to fill" that hole but this coin does not grab me. Original yes but the surface seems scared or baggy to me. Keep looking and hold out for that one piece that grabs you and don't settle for an OK coin.

Based on the color of the slab gasket, I'll guess the coin is a bit darker in hand. Nice honest coin.

Not feeling that one either. Someday one will speak to you and the only replies you'll get when you post pictures of it will be "wow".
Rest in Peace

I'll bet that stain from the eagles' right wing extending down to the letters "O & N" would end up being another halo in hand. Best wait in my opinion.

I've been following your hunt and just want to chime in to wish you luck. I only need the Seated dollars to finish my 7070, and have not began the journey you are now on. Have fun!

I don't like the PMD on her right ankle.

I don't like the discoloration on the back nor the hit on the right leg. I would keep looking unless this one is bargain priced.

This one is better than the other three in the other thread. I dont know what the other coins in your 7070 look like. There ARE some hits on this one, but would be a choice if the rest of the coins are similar.

If its a good deal, its certainly one to add to your collection outside of the 7070.

IMO its a VF-20 plus or minus a grade. Although its better than the others you posted, if it were me I would hold out for better one. Its surfaces look a little too light in color to be original IMO.

Finding nice Seated dollars are difficult on a budget since there are a lot of unattractive ones out there and the ones that are nice are expensive. I'm glad I have already picked them up for my type set! Unless prices have drastically changed since I bought mine a little over a year ago you should be able to get nice XF's with decent eye appeal in your price range (assuming $600 from prior topic).

Good luck in your hunt,
Joe

The seller counter-offered $540 postpaid, 10-day no questions asked return policy;

Great comments about the "stain" on the back and the dig on the right ankle. I must have my blinders (forest and the trees thing) on since I seem to be posting every Dollar within my means. With a larger contact area, there are going to be a greater chance of contact marks on these cartwheels. Trying to find a nice Seated dollar in the 500's is proving to be my most troublesome effort and I really appreciate the feedback that I have received.

I am following this rascal as well;

oih82w8 I like this 1860-O you just posted. No distracting marks on this one and solid for the grade. Now if priced right, you'll be all set.

The only drawback to the 1860-O above...it's an auction coin, the others have been BIN. I'll have to wait and see.

I hope that I am not boring the CCF with these Seated Liberty dollars...here is another thread;

I agree about the 1860-O. Fingers crossed the auction doesn't get out of control
