Splotchy toning does not help. Nevertheless, don't attempt to clean it.
AU 53 seems about right to me as well.

It almost looks like two different coins. The reverse looks very close to MS, a lot closer than the obverse. My best guess is AU55.

The coin looks MS but with the heavy tone hard to tell from photos. A solid grade would require the coin in hand to examine for rub and friction on the high points that might be hidden by the tone in photos.

Looks to be AU-55 to me. Nice circulated Walker.
Good addition to any collection.
