Friday a co-worker sold me an entire roll (minus one) of 1943 steel LWC's that were machine rejects. The odd one out (in order to make a whole roll) was a common 1940s dated LWC of which the exact year escapes me. Also a bunch of miscellaneous foreign junk.

Nice finds everyone. It's been a long time but today was payday. I like the critter on the Aussie 5 cent.

I got a 1968 canadian quarter a few days ago. Unfortunately, it was the 100% nickel kind.

Pretty sure the Coinstar machine I check is no longer in use since the Bank's high speed change counter was installed.

After a loooong dry spell, (the machine was moved to a high traffic area), I hit pay dirt. Pay dirt meaning 24 horrible corroded zincolns. But, mixed in with the dreck, two Washington quarters from the eighties, three Jefferson nickels, 1998, 2000, & 2007, two clad dimes 1986 & 1998, a silver Rosie 1956, one cent Trinidad and Tobago, a 1943 steel penny in very good condition, a 1967 Diez Centavos, a Nederlands 5 cent Euro, a one cent Commonwealth of the Bahamas, a Calvin Klein button missing the shank on the back, four modern Canadian cents, three copper LMC and fourteen zinc Shield cents non-corroded. Very good haul today. Happy hunting everyone!

Passed by a machine didn't see anything in reject tray reached in anyway and pulled out the only coin in there.

I'm still waiting on the first silver.

Too bad...the shank makes all the difference with CK collectibles.

On a more serious note, I wonder about any remaining charge when I find button batteries. I know about conservation of energy, but "disposing" of a battery with a little bit left is uncomfortable.

Nothing in any of the Coinstar machines yesterday... however, on the ground next to the machine at my local CVS, I found this little one.

At a local Kroger, I could hear someone dumping a huge amount of coins into the Coinstar machine. As soon as they were done, I checked the reject bin and found a 1910 LWC in AG-3 condition.
