My wife hit up the Coinstar at Walmart and found a 1989 Canadian Dollar, a 1984 British One Pound and a 1959 Canadian Dime! First silver find for us.

Finally broke my skunk streak with a Zincoln that was so filthy and covered with a greasy looking layer of crud that I was afraid to touch it. Just left it there for the next guy to enjoy. I thought I would post my fabulous find to give hope to those thinking of quitting the coinstar searching game.

Maybe not the best find, but still- free money. I remember being at recess in elementary school, and finding two extremely corroded Zincolns in the mud. I still picked them up.

I found a cent on the floor in front of the coin star machine the other day and today I found a 2008 Canadian dime in the reject slot.

Found a clad quarter in a vending machine while waiting for my wife... She asked if it was a good one and I said, "yeah, it's a quarter!" But she gets it!

You know, with Canadian coins, I know someone who pays 70% of exchange rate for them.

FINALLY broke the stupid 3 month dry spell... with 1, count 'em, 1 clad dime. I think it was a 1996 P dime with a cool "spike" (die crack, really ) sticking out of FDR's head.

Not a coinstar find but I was walking to use the restroom at work last night and noticed a penny on the ground... Usually I ignore pennies but I noticed this one was a "Wheatie" and picked it up and it was a 1946 D... Not bad at all!

The wife sent me today to get some milk from the local grocery. On the way out, I checked the Coinstar machine and it almost looked like a casino machine; it had FORTY cents (all cents) laying in the 'junk' bin. I felt a little guilty scooping then all into my pocket. I wonder if the employees and other customers now realize that they should check it out too. I normally find just one or two in the bin (when I do find some), so today was very rare.
