Hello everyone,

Well I was going through my wifes change and looking for any silver coins and noticed this 1990 p dime with a raised piece of metal on the back center. Is it a Cud or just something that just a jeweler put on the back?

Thanks
aric

to CCF. We need to see a photo. It is not a Cud because Cuds include the rim.

It looks like part of a snap on button. For what reason I have no clue. It's not the first time I've seen this before. Still don't know what it was for.

looks like whoever had it in the past wanted to make a button out of it. I can't understand why anyone would want to button a coin. It just doesn't make sense to me.
