Bicentennial-Qtr-Question

Hope the pictures are clear enough, I have never seen this before where the copper from the edge of the coin is on the rim and some of the obverse. Is this common and I have just not seen it until now? Not just on Bicentennials, but any coins?

If what I think you are talking about is correct I would say pull out a couple, of guarteres from your pocket and even a couple of dimes , you will quite often see difference in color on the rim a Copper color and a silver Like color. If this what you are talking about it very very common

At about 2:00 on the coin to the right of the Y some of the copper from the rim looks like it bled onto the coin. I guess I have have just never noticed before, usually I just see copper on the reeded edge of the coin. Looks real neat with my 10x loupe, but maybe I need to get my eyesight checked.
