I love looking at pictures of other peoples coins. I love looking at the thread for error coins and the thread for loonies(dollars), but what about a thread for posting pictures of your favorite coin or just plain cool looking ones. I haven't contributed anything to the other threads yet, but I will tonight. I'll also get one up for this one tonight as well.

I think a thread for toned coins would be pretty awesome.... because eye-appealing, toned coins fall under all classes of coins, which don't require you to break the bank to get them...

I have many favorite coins. I like good MS quality stuff. Some designs can be classed as works of art and I wish I could blow some of them up and hang on the wall. Anyways, heres my first pic. of a high grade 1967 sovereign.

This should almost be 2 topics. I loved toned coins. But I have others in my most favorite coin category.

This is my favorite coin because it is my birthstone. This is my best toned coin that is camera friendly. My other toned coins are tough to get good pics.

@coinchick...I like the Australian Treasures series (I like a lot of Perth Mint stuff) I only have the diamonds from that series. Concerning toned copper coins, how can you tell if its a result of a cleaning attempt or real natural toning. I had this coin returned from PGCS as "cleaned". However there are no visible signs of cleaning other then the funky toning. Thoughts?

tfred That was my favorite series. I have all of them and 2 of the pearl coins. The opal one was my first purchase of the series. I am an opal fanatic!! And that led me to purchase the rest of the series.

Maybe Canada needs an ammolite version....

SPP. That's a great idea. I use to work where 90% of the worlds ammolite was mined. I have about 5 surface chunks at home. Korite has it made.
