I've never seen a PCGS holder like this. Is it legitimate?

Thanks

The older holders like that are legit.

I have some pcgs notes in holders like that. The cert numbers IF I am not mistaken start with 800 or something like that...not sure of the number of zero's....after the 8.

Simply, I have entered their Cert. Verification stated on the tag (80026147), then you will get the data:

I had already the cert. check, but thank you! With the Chinese now faking coin TPG slabs with valid cert. numbers, I was concerned that this type of holder really existed. Have you seen any reports of fake paper currency holders?

For me, never heard or seen!

However, if fake TPG currency holders do exist, they must be very few! (I hope)

Besides, if that TPG note holder was fake, wouldn't be better if the faker made it looks like "regular/normal" PCGS holders in order to avoid any kind of suspicions?! (at least, that's what I would think of if I was him)

Cheers

Good to hear the fake holders appear to not have affected paper (yet). I agree - faking a newer, more "normal" holder would make more sense.
