Went to the bank today and got a box of nickels. Unfortunately when I got it home and opened it up it was solid 2012s. Is this something worth keeping? I would assume they are uncirculated rolls.

If you sit on it for 25 years I'm sure it'll be worth something. :-)

(In truth, I actually have a 2011 box under that very mentality. :-) )

EDIT: Welcome to the forum!

That's what I figured. I'm going to return this box since I couldn't help but open one of the rolls to make sure it was solid. If I get another box like this I may just keep it.

If you kept them, many collectors are probably itching to get their hands on a full box. You could almost definitly sell them at more than face.

Right you are! I did a search on ebay just to see if there was anything similar and I found this.

I have had this happen to me 3 times with dimes now. I just keep a couple rolls and send the rest back. I would like it if this happened to me with half dollars at least once...

Me too, that would be sweet to happen with halves. I would keep a few rolls of the nickels and call my coin shops before bringing back the rest.
