This may be a complete nerd blunder, but who the heck is Terry Pratchett?
Douglas Adams is a must for sure. I am still trying to come up with a good version of a Pan Galactic Gargleblaster. Best I have done rated getting hit in the head with a regular brick wrapped in a lemon peel. Still havent made it to gold brick.

ok took some new photos, keep in mind some of the books you see in the older pics maybe have just never found their way out of totes since my last couple of moves. All the paperbacks never made it out for sure as I really don't care for paperbacks and would love to replace them with hardbacks. Forgive me for this first photo this is the wives book shelf, This bookshelf is half my wives too My current coin albums And on top of some Stephen King books my current place holder for my Commemorative dollars until I get my album.

I SEE A STEPHEN KING FAN AND YOU HAVE THE WHOLE DARK TOWER SERIES IN THE BIG SOFTCOVERS OHHHHHHHHHHHHMYPETE . . . also both versions of The Stand. But mostly HOLY CRAP WHOLE DARK TOWER SERIES I LOVE AND KINDA HATE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW BECAUSE ALL I HAVE ARE THE CRAPPY TRADE PAPERBACKS THAT ARE DISINTEGRATING FROM USE. . . . . . . . erm, sorry. Favourite book series ever, super-hard to find the original editions . . . you're a collector, hopefully you get my flail. I still need to get The Wind Through The Keyhole in hardback before it disappears. Question: What is the book to the right of 11/22/63, and the two to the left of Dreamcatcher? I recognise most of these, but those ones are either too small or are in editions I haven't seen before. And at whoever asked about Terry, biggest nerd blunder ever. He writes the Discworld series and he's also the guy who cowrote Good Omens with Neil Gaiman!

I had to make the pics a little less clear to get under the 100 kb limit I was checking the originals (I am at work so I just can't go look at my bookshelf haha). The one to the right of 11/22/63 is the Bachman books, Four early Novels by Stephen King (its a collection of 4 of his books he wrote under the pen name Richard Bachman, it includes Rage, The Long Walk, Roadwork and the Running Man). The two to the left of Dreamcatcher is The Green Mile and Hearts in Atlantis.
And you have no idea how hard it was to build that collection of Stephen King books including the Dark Tower series. A lot of those books were found from years and years of going to Deseret Industries (a Utah based goodwill store). Heck a lot of those hardcovers were put together from going to thrift stores for years and years looking for them (Mary Stewart, Jurassic Parks by Crichton, the Bourne Books, a bunch of the Terry Goodkinds, most of the Terry Brooks novels, the Deathgate Cycle by Margaret Weis which I still haven't managed to get a complete set of hardcovers in but I would love one, I am also on the lookout for the first 2 books of the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo series in hardback). Years and years of searching I just don't like paperbacks.
The penny is just an american penny I got it from a casino on Mesquite Nevada like a decade ago.

Oh, man. I think my local B&N still has Dragon Tattoo in hardback and now I'm tempted to ask if you wanna trade some silver for a copy or something. There can never be too many copies of that series floating around; I think it should be taught, the first book especially, in every Women's Studies course in the world. That may sound over the top, but thinking of the number of times I've chosen to not report sexual harassment and the reasons why not, I don't think it is. Men should know that Lisbeth's experiences are not unique or even, sadly, uncommon. Things can't change in that regard until we all stand together.
HOLD ON to that copy of The Bachman Books! After school shootings started popping up in real life, Stephen King called up his publisher and had Rage (and collections containing it) taken out of print. You've got a book there worth about two hundred bucks. When I wanted to read it (reading everything King has ever written is on my bucket list and I'm about halfway there), I had to get my library to do an interlibrary loan with a paperback copy from Seattle, and when my librarian put the book in my hands she said "There was a note in here from the Seattle library that if you destroy this book, it can't be replaced, and less than half the library systems in the US still have a copy. Take care of it."
I just bought my first large softcover for DT--Wizard and Glass (which seems to be everywhere--I've never seen a large softcover of Wolves of the Calla). My mom used to have a hardback, mostly-first-edition collection of King spanning from Carrie to Desperation/The Regulators that I made her promise would be mine if she ever didn't want them anymore (the only ones not included in hardback or large softcover were Cujo, Pet Sematary, and Christine), but many of them disappeared when she moved, and I suspect they're permanently lost. I'll have to start checking out my local thriftstore more often.

Some of the Dark Tower books came from my dad like the last 3 I think and they are all first editions as he bought them when they came out. The first 4 I spent years searching for, the first book is a unique print they did years and years ago like 8 or 9 that was done in a very limited quantity. I found it at a Hastings in like 2006 I think. They had the first 4 novels I always regretted only getting the 1st one and since they were a limited print I have never seen them again.
Do you know what I spent for that Bachman book, $1 in hardcover found it at the thrift store several years ago.

Love it, sirdizzy! Here's my contribution. No, the cat is not an evil Decepticon. At least, I don't think so. I need to organize my bookcase and then I'll upload a shot. Thanks for doing this. I'm really enjoying this thread.

Different Seasons is one of his books that collects his novellas, it has 4 different stories in it (I have this book too). There is a number of books like that where he puts a bunch of novellas together like Four Past Midnight, Skeleton Crew, Nightmares and Dreamscape etc. Some of my favorite Stephen King movies were made from his Novellas like Shawshank Redemption and Stand by Me. Optimus is the only transformer that I still have from when I was a kid, I should get a decepticon and bumblebee (when he was a bug not that stupid camaro) off ebay. I still have some of my heman though and a bunch of my star wars toys, 80's kids had the coolest toys.
