I did say that I would eventually buy some books...well today I spotted something that maybe will interest others also.

All those books on disk for less than £10 is a bargain if you ask me...

If you do a search on Google Books you will also find a lot of books on ancient coins.

That is a lot of books and many of them are books I would like to have. I wonder how the disc is laid out. Thumbing through physical books is easy, but electronic media can sometimes be hard to search through unless it is programmed in such a way to make it easy. Did you already purchase this? If so, I think I will let you be the guinea pig once again (i,e, the usb microscope). Let us know what you think about it.

These will be in PDF format...

I agree with you physical books are much more convenient (certainly for attributions/catalogues) but the volume of information here I wouldn't have room on my bookshelf for. At least it will give me the oppertunity to answer some questions for myself, and if the nature of any of these books is for general reading and education then I will be able to browse through them at my leisure and learn something. Besides you could not buy these books in hard form so cheaply...

I probably still need some substantial books to identify and catalogue both Roman and Greek coins, but since these books are as expensive as purchasing a decent coin I am putting that off. Having a small collection of already attributed coins I don't feel spending £100's on Encyclopedia's of Roman and Greeks would be worthwhile at present.
