Awesome! Congrats! That's a good looking set there - you have some nice Franklins. And yeah, it's a heavy set for just a handful of coins. Hooray, silver! I completed mine a couple months ago - managed to put mine together in less than a year though - but yours is no doubt a more colorful story and really liked the fact that you finished what your dad started. So..... what's next?

Nice job on the Franklin set, , Dansco makes 2 albums(48coins ea.) 96 coins for the Morgan set, which is very heavy....very nice on your set...

Great Set! Franklins are probably the only set that one can complete on a budget! The set is complete, meaning no more will be issued (as opposed to Lincolns, Jeffersons, et al), and is very affordable. Even if you were to insist on fbl it would not be too difficult! I completed a Roosevelt set once from pocket change in 1969...now I need to complete it AGAIN.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It sure does feel good to finish a set. I feel accomplished. I guess that last spot in the album was meant for a Kennedy? I thought it would be appropriate to place the successor coin there. I'm not sure how close Franklin and Kennedy would see eye to eye, but I would buy tickets to that conversation! The next set I'm close to completing is my mint state PCGS Eisenhower dollar set. I only need the 3 types of 1972 coins. I am also working on sets of Buffalo nickels, Peace, and Morgan dollars. Thanks again, everyone.

That you finished what your dad started is the thing that makes this truly special. Great set! And I have had the privilege of holding (and being the first to buy two coins from) a complete set of AU and better Morgans. Let me tell you, that is a HEAVY set. And I REALLY wanted to run out of the building with it.

Congrats on completing your set! I'm a type collector vs. a date/mint mark collector, but as a Franklin fan this is one set that I do plan to put together.
Enjoy it!
