I would keep it as a cool antique, or sell it for a few bucks.

Yes, silver plated. "Wm. Rogers" flatware usually is.

Send it to me if you're gonna throw it out. Anything that old is at least cool, if not worth something. I'll give you postage! :D

Although it looks newish. Is it really that old?

The mark "1865 WM Rogers MFG CO." was used in part by the Oneida Silver co., as late as 1978.

The mark "XS TRIPLE" could mean "triple plated."
The design is a bit too ornate to be very modern.

I don't know about selling it "for a few bucks". Good luck with that...

You mean that it's too old to be sold for a few bucks?
Why is the design too modern?

I wonder if it could be that rare run of steel-plated silver? They made them for left-handed use only.

As tastes changed in flatware, the design became simpler.
I recognize the rose in the OP's picture.
I was just saying that the piece, in my opinion, dates from the 50s to the 60s.
Rather than "too modern", I judge the piece to be transitional from the 40s to the 70s.
But hey, just my opinion.

Thanks!
The fork, due to its rust, has caused some arguments within my family. As long as its collectible and worth something, I'll keep it and it will be accepted.
