I didn't think the RCM sold bullion to the public?

My point was, instead of bullion bars, I will stick to paying the slight premium for RCM maple leaf bullion coins.

Quote:Fort Knox was suckered too - or then again... was the source for fake gold - an interesting read. http://www.viewzone.com/fakegold.html Sounds like a crazy paranoid government conspiracy plot to me. Frankly it's total nonsense.

Fortunately I can't hope to ever afford a 400 oz bar of gold!

Have you guys ever tested your gold coins, bars to make sure they are real and pure .9999? I have 3 gold bars from SC Bank, hope they are all real gold. A little worry.

^^ I remember reading some article a while back about a UK bank testing some Chinese gold and it was loaded with Tungsten.
Since you bought you gold bars from a local bank,I'm 99% sure you're safe.

"My point was, instead of bullion bars, I will stick to paying the slight premium for RCM maple leaf bullion coins." Stupid question but how do you purchase SMLs or GMLs directly from the Mint?

You don't. They only sell bullion to dealers. You can only buy the commemorative ones direct and those are higher priced of course.

Most of the time, a dealer will get them to you at a low markup if the volume is right. Does the mink release it's retailer prices? As a public company, you would think they would have to. If not, I wonder would an access to information request get the info? I for one would love to know the mint's Maple pricing policy for retailers/dealers.

Is this thread on the wrong place? I think here we are discuss about Canadian NCLT coin, not bullion.
Bullion can be considered as NCLT? I have a little confusing about this. Please help. :)
