I found a few of these "States" at my dealers,he was thinking
of throwing them away, before he tossed them in a box of world
coins.

I took them since they were cheap, but I think they are
interesting. Are these some kind of token, and would anybody
happen to know the metal composition in them?

Thanks,
:) sn31.

Do you have any scans or pictures of these? I would love to see what they look like!

Hi Snooba,
I can't post a pic right now,for the same reason I couldn't with one of my error coins, too much glare in them.

I'm going to get it figured out soon I hope :)!!
The best I can do is describe it.

It's the size of a half dollar,it has "States of the Union" at the top of the Obverse, a picture of the state for which it describes in the center, and at the bottom it says which state it is referring to.

On the reverse,at the top,the name of the state again.in the center,it states the capitol, the state flower, and the year of statehood.

On the bottom of the reverse,it say's for instance on Indiana, "Hoosier State"

The edges are reeded, may be nickel,I'm unsure, but it's still pretty neat.I'd like to obtain each of the states, to go along with my set of State Quarters.
