While I was monitor shopping (I can't call it " window shopping"...Bill Gates may charge me for...something) during my break, I found an interesting Three Cent Silver piece. The splattering on the reverse may be...odd. It is "on hold" for someone, but I am first in line in case of a crawfish. What do you think about this? Are you tired of these yet? Looks like some sort of a liquid that dried up leaving a crystalline entity in the middle.

Like someone sneezed on it?

LOL, Could be. I sometimes wonder whether the gunk on my large cents contains smallpox. Guess that's another benefit of slabbing, disease control.

The spots on the right side of the reverse are remnants of an old fingerprint.

I'm mixed, it's a nice coin but the old finger print / smudge is to much of a distraction for me.

Very nice coin... especially like the die clash visible above the star on the obverse. Graded XF/AU?

Nice, I was checking out that same coin yesterday and almost got it. I need a 3 cent silver still.

Some personality in that toning, I'd want it if I could afford it.

I like the appearance also. The surviving strike and obv/rev condition give it personality. Nice looking 3 Center in my book. Is that a holder it is in? What type?

GENUINE, encapsulated in a PCGS holder that indicates artificial toning. This is one that I would acquire even though an actual grade is not assigned.
