 Hmmmm... I'll have to think about this one. Maybe tool marks (errors) from minting? It looks a little off center, too. You need an expert on errors to be certain(I certainly don't qualify.)Good luck!

Looks like the reeding on the rim from another coin was damaged into this coin. Indented into the coin = damage usually. There are other cases of struck through, but this looks like damage to me.

The coin is obviously worn, but the features along the rim show raised ridges that are "sharp" and do not show wear. This is damage that occurred after the minting and after a significant amount of circulation.

John...the reeding on the coin is intact.It is just slightly worn... Im going to make a few more pics of it as soon as I find it again...
