Im interested in purchasing a CSA restrike coin most likely one of the copper baslows but cant find any price guides anywhere for them.
Does anyone happen to know what the FMV for such items are?

basebal21, why don't you just look on E-Bay and see what they're ending at $$$-wise? May not be a "book" value, but will let you know what others are purchasing them for.

Dave there so scare on ebay that its hard to get a real sense of it. They look to run anywhere from 90-300 but I cant find any exact matches to the current listings. Pickings are pretty slim right now it looks like I might be better off waiting

Just put it on my watch list thanks for the heads up. Do you happen to know why some of them say token on the labels?

I just went to their Auction archives, did a search for "restrike confederate" and came up with 88 results split between Baslows and Scotts. "Restrike" alone came up with 1500+ results.

Im actually not a member of heritage, havent used them before. I guess I should say I wasnt a member, just signed up and now I'm seeing all the results. Easily the best price guide I've seen so far.
Whats the difference between the bidding begins and the auction dates? The ones listed now say bidding begins around september 29th but have auction dates of mid october

You want the "Auction Archives" link on the left, to research past results. What you're looking at in your last post is only the active stuff. You can track that, to see where the auction ends, but better to rest on the archives. It's the largest which has ever existed.

Much of my Colonial FMV research has been done by searching HA's archives.

They do a hybrid auction format. They will list the coin online and allow bidding, similar to an ebay auction. This will close 24 hours before the live auction and then the coin is presented for any final live bids. It makes the auction flow faster and means you can search for real bargains knowing what the live auction will start at for each lot. I could have sworn I bid on some restrikes in a recent auction. They are really cool coins, but they all went above my budget this time.

Thanks Dave definitely a great tool I havent been using till now. Magical so if I understand that right its like an auction before the auction or basically to set the starting price and weed out all the starting bids like you see on ebay knowing theres no chance a coin will sell for those amounts? Which again if I understand correctly would mean the 2nd listing date is the one I should be concerned with for bidding?

Heritage lists stuff as soon as they possibly can, regardless of which auction it's specifically assigned to, in order to generate the greatest-possible publicity for what they're selling. They are there to serve their sellers/consigners, who are their actual customers, and I'm perfectly OK with that. We know the deal, the terms, and it's not only acceptable but preferred if both I and the guy I'm buying the coin from get a decent deal, understanding the middleman also deserves a fair cut.
I shop carefully, cognizant of the coin and the circumstances. I have only placed three bids at Heritage, ever. All three won the coin.
Do your due diligence.

Bidding opens is when they will start accepting bids online. Twenty four hours before the sale date online bidding closes. Then on sale day the auction is conducted live at the coin show location. Opening bid will be one increment above the high online bid. (The high online bid may not be the online bidders maximum bid.) If no one bids the online bidder gets it. If there are bids them Heritage bids against the floor bids on the online bidders behalf until his maximum bid is reached. If the online bidders max bid is not beaten he wins. If it is beaten then the floor bidder wins.
Searching the active auctions is good if you want to see if one of the restrikes is coming up for sale, searching the archives is good it you want to see what kind of prices they have been bringing.
