From my other thread, looking for an accurate grade on these 2 LWC. Both have some minor verdigris from improper storage. That will be taken care of tomorrow.

Grades?

i'd leave the cleaning be unless you really know how to get the results...just in case you dont want to ruin the surface and catch a details grade and ruin the value...just MHO

I don't possibly see how leaving the verdigris on the surfaces is a better alternative?

just slap it in an airtite for now
those are pretty valuable pennies in the right grade and if you leave marks on the surface it might really ruin all value on them for top resell pricing
airtite will get it out of the environment right now and stop if not severely slow any further environmental damage

I'm also saying solid VF. I'm not sure why anyone would advocate keeping corrosion. I'm not saying cleaning is a good thing. But conservation is a good thing. And when you get so paranoid about cleaning that you leave corrosion and then let it go from a minor nuisance to a major problem, then I think the non conservation attitude is the problem.

Having said, and in no way insulting you (because I don't know you!)be sure you know what is an acceptable way of conserving your coins before beginning.

Both VF-20 to me.

Nice "key date" coins.

Edit.. These should be in the 'Modern coin Grading Forum' for more exposure.
