I picked this up at B of A while looking for silver (of which I found none). Is this worth holding onto? Is there much premium over melt? Looks like an original bank wrapped roll of Bicentennial halves.

Last time I bought halve rolls--month ago--I received two of these! Not a fan of the bicentenial coinage so back they went--if you like em keep em--still a cool find!

It's nice find. Congrat.
If you don't want them, I'll take them off your hand for face value + shipping cost. I know the mint made too many of them and many have been saved.... I just like Original Bank Rolls......

If it was mine, I would have already opened it up.... with that being said throw it in the safe for the next twenty years. Then when you find it again, post it on here so we can debate it again. Just a thought...

I was really hoping it was a role of BU Franklins when I saw the wrapper...

I'm not sure what the melt price (copper/nickel) would be as there is no silver in the rolls of 1976 Half Dollars made for circulation...

I only said that because I "found" a few rolls the other day that I had stashed 5 or 6 years ago. It was fun finding them, because I honestly forgot I had them!! It was like crh in my own house.

Steve, you did it wrong.
It's "Doc! DOC!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHCK!!" (Mr. Fox had a panicked yell like no other.)

Good thing you're not me. Those puppies would have been laid out on my desk before I even posted the thread.

It was like crh in my own house. I know what you mean. When I moved about ten years ago, I came across some forgotten Wheat cent rolls.

That's cool! Too bad the mint made so many coins in '76.....numismatic value is very low for all issues. I'd probably crack it and look for gems.
