I have particular problem MDing in high grass. Also, there are two areas I would like to explore but one the soil has been heavily compressed and the other the State put a layer of stone down because equipment used the area. Are there any special techniques to use in these types of environment other than keep your knives, spade, etc sharp?

most of the soil around here is hard packed as well, still working on defeating that problem and its a doozy, best I have come up with is to take the youngun with me he has plenty of elbow grease. ;)
