I often find myself asking people about their specific circumstances. I'm of the belief that the referenced information can be useful for people, especially if we know what part of North America you are CRHing in. I believe that Brinks, for instance, operates differently in the Southeast then it does in the Midwest. So even if you aren't comfortable giving specific information, maybe you can tell what region you are in.
In addition to the information requested, feel free to discuss the info that is being shared. Hopefully this will be a thread that lots of people participate in. The more info we have, the more useful it will be. Thanks for participating. I'll get it started with my next post.

I live in Oklahoma. It's probably considered the Midwest, although we think of ourselves as "Southern". I use BofA to purchase Cent's, Nickels, and Halves. The courier is Brinks. I also purchase halves from Chase, which uses Loomis. I dump most all of this at Arvest Bank. I buy the majority of my dimes from Arvest. They use S&S wrappers. Not sure which courier delivers but I believe these actually come from the Federal reserve. I also have a local bank that wraps their own coin. I buy a little of everything from them, but they started charging ridiculous fees so I try to stay away. The problem is they are by far my most productive bank

I pick up at 4-6 banks along the same road as my drop off bank. We deposit our rolled coins at BofA where I have an account. Then we hit the ATM and make a trip up one side and down the other hitting most of the banks (There are over 10 on the same 3 mile stretch of highway.) We usually pick up 4-6 boxes a week. Hubby's job is to deposit/pick up and I sort/roll. It works well that way. We've learned how/what to ask at certain banks in order to get coins. Some won't let you without an account. Some will one week and won't the next. Some give no problem whatsoever. Occasionally when we visit another town, we do the same thing. Luckily both banks we have accounts at are within a mile of each other in both towns. When we go to Walmart, I usually pick up a box there too. We're located near Houston.

Thanks for sharing TexasCoinHunter! Sounds like you have the process down to a science. Are you saying you can buy a box of coin from Walmart itself or a bank that has a branch in Walmart? I've tried the bank inside of Walmart and they usually tell me they don't keep that kind of coin at the Walmart location. OO

I go to the bank inside Wal-mart. We usually ask for "$25 in pennies" instead of "a box". They usually scrounge up $25 worth without having to get into the vault. Sometimes they just get a box anyway.

This is just a bump to get this back on the first page. I really think this can be valuable to all of us. Please post your stats.

I think the reason it does not get much attention owassokie is because most people dont want to share their "secrets" on CRH....some people figure out how to get certain "hookups" or what works best and dont want to tell because they dont want other people getting in on there potential profit or cool finds...i personally dont mind sharing as I think it could be a usuefull tool and get other younger people interested in coins not just for profit but for the hobby.....i would consider myself a midwesternish region and every single bank I get from uses brinks...i have yet to even find a box that was of a different courier....even when I go outside my usual area to mix things up it is still brinks...i do all denominations pennies-halves....does the type of courier vary by region...or is it just that particular banks choice even if its say 2 chase banks in the same town...could one use brinks and the other loomis...or does it go higher than that as the CEO or VP or someone like that of the company make decisions for every branch

BenBaby, Thanks for the info. I know there will be info that people are leery about sharing, whether it be for security reasons or protecting secret info. I just want people to post what they are comfortable with. I think your question about couriers is a good one. I don't know the answer but its a perfect example of something that can be learned by getting answers from people who live in the same area and decide to share. If people participate, we'll probably get the answer.

When I did roll hunt, I was picking up coins at BofA in MD and dumping them at PNC bank. I did halfs and nickels. I think they used loomis and it was in String and Sons boxes. I would use one main branch to pick up my coins, and dump in a different county. When I come home for a bit I'll have to start it up again. No silver here in OZ
