I recently purchased some PCGS graded Eisenhower dollars, and three of them had chipped corner ridges on the front. This really messes with my OCD. I'm not going to replace them because they aren't really noticeable. I just KNOW that they're there. Of course, one of them is the 1972 Type 2- my luck. I guess that's the risk you take when buying off ebay. These chips are very hard to see in the photos. Anyway, does this tend to irritate anyone else?

Makes you wonder what was done to the slabs. Those things are pretty durable

It would bother me, so go ahead and crack them out.

Just kidding.

It took years, but I convinced myself that knowing about some imperfection is not as bad a seeing it.

If you cannot easily see it, then try not to think about it; consider it as additional and unique character.

But if it really bothers you, then you should do something about it.

I believe the re-slabbing fee @ PCGS is around $10 / coin. If you find you can't live w/ the notion that the existing slabs have defects, then re-slabbing them would be $$$ well spent.
