Although I was not in the market for another Septimius Severus, the price was right so I couldn't pass. I have it attributed as RIC 288, Denarius struck at Rome in 207 AD: OBV: SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right REV: RESTITVTOR VRBIS, Roma seated left holding palladium & spear, round shield below 1.9g, 19mm

Very nice coin indeed. I may get one of that emperor one day.
I'll hazard a guess and say maybe you paid $35 max apx. for the coin?

I saw another for around $28 not including shipping. So, I figured that was about on par if not a really good price.

Great coin JW. I always love when a god of antiquity is reused in the modern era, it further increases the numis-interest. Nice job sniffing this one out.
