I am hoping someone can shed some light on these two? I am not sure if they are from the same location but the look similar (to me)?

Coin 1 is from the Kushan Empire I believe. I don't know anything more about it. Neither do I know anything about the second coin.

Yep, they're both Kushan Empire - which is ancient Afghanistan. The language on Kushan coins of thios period is a somewhat devolved Greek, though both these coins are too well worn for me to read the names. See the examples on these zeno.ru pages, especially king Kanishka and the kings either side of him.

The top coin has the king on the left, and the god Mithra on the right.

The bottom coin has the god Siva with the sacred cow on the left, and the king on the right.
