my local post office has 2010 piedfort gold and silver set $399, they lower the price when gold was low.

Why is everyone so angry?
I'm not a troll. I posted this a few days ago and haven't been able to answer this thread because I was out at Toronto's Nuit Blanche all day yesterday, and at work all day today, and have only been able to sign in now.
Is there something wrong with a share-what-you-found-for-sale thread? I assumed everyone across the country lives near Canada Posts & Shoppers Drug Mart stores so I thought it'd be interesting to find out what kind of old/rarish stock has been sitting unnoticed and being sold across the country.
My intention was NOT to find out specific locations and scope them out so I could raid them or anything of that sort. Surely some of you have found things on sale at one point or another, no? I was just curious. Hearing other peoples rare finds is fun and gives me that "wow these things are out there?" feeling.
And all of my sale coins were found at corporate chain stores like Shoppers Drug Mart. It seems neither Canada Post nor the independent variety stores were willing or motivated to reduce prices on old stock.
But listing the locations I made these finds would be moot considering I bought them already. My baby coins were both found in the Spadina/College area, sort of surprising since it's a such a high traffic area.

Don't know why there is so much anger in here...
Anyway, for my part I wasn't even aware that CP was doing sales on coins, and now that I know (thanks to OP), I'll pay myself a CP-hunting run in the next days.

But no discounts. Mostly, it relates to the PO's at different malls. |
