I got: -2011 Birthstone sets @ 30% off: down to ~$45. -2009 Baby Coin Set @ issue price: $19.95 -2008 Baby Lullaby Set @ 20% off: down to ~$30.
That's it for now. Post offices rarely put their stuff on sale. :( When do they tend to put stuff on sale? As soon as the new year starts?

Not from a post office, but I also found these deals online. Good find?: -2010 Proof set for $35 (missing COA though :() -2010 Specimen set for $35 -2006 Toonie token set for $50 Edited by wilsonwu89 09/28/2012 9:34 pm

Hi Wilson:
If you shop around at other post offices you could do better. -the baby set you can get for 60% off - the Baby Lullaby Set 50% off however the birthstone I'm surprised to see that discounted at all.
try calling other offices just to see.

Ok. I really don't know about what the purpose of this post?
You want to tell someone that you lucky enough to get coins at discount price? If yes, congratulation!
But if kind enough, Please share the locations or at least area round that you got a good deal. In case someone want to buy to complete their collection.
Note: I am not pointed to a particular member. Just says in general if someone find somewhere have good deals. Please share.
That's what RFDers do.

The purpose of the post is as stated in the title..... Post your discount finds from the post office. It's not hard to figure out. There are thousands of post offices around. Go look through them. Or call the ones around you and ask if they have any discount stuff. Then go buy it. Or if RFD is a better forum go get the info from them.

Oh great. Have you ever drive around all the POs in Your province? We don't need such a non-sense advices. What make it too hard to share the location? I am sure your dealers or POs will be happy, cause they get more buyers. Even potential buyers. There is only a reason not to share is they want to keep it as a secret for themselves. For hoarding of course.
Such a selfish though!

Yes. Anytime I see a post office I stop and look... Do you have a phone? Call and ask them. Invest some of your own time into this hobby! The point of the post wasn't to list all PO's with inventory. If these other posters are apparently "selfish hoarders" then there are no more coins to buy from those locations anyways, And you might as well drop the subject.
Stop making assumptions and calling people names. That is rude and uncalled for!!

These post offices that have these deals are usually located outside of the big cities like Vancouver where I live. They are located in the boonies and small towns. And unless you want to travel the whole province or country it would be nice for people to post where they found there deals. It is not mandatory of course but it would just a courtesy. Otherwise this would become a just a bragging thread.

About three weeks ago I picked up the 2011 Birthday, Peace and Joy, and Canada sets (I wanted the different quarters). In addition, I also got the tooth fairy quarter. All of these were 50% off. Yes they were bought in a small town post office.

I won't be back to this thread so go ahead and insult me all you want. Hey track me down on other threads and insult me there too why stop here.
Coin Chick, I would at least like to thank you for your comments.

I have found that post offices put the previous year's coins/sets on sale around mid August to mid Sept. I have made purchases from one end of the country to the other over the years.

Something I heard recently was that post outlets inside other business' ( Shoppers Drugs etc )are privately run and all RCM- stock is ordered by the manager and he decides what will sell , like your local shop. So, depending on how hot sales are will determine what gets discounted for what percentage.
