It's kinda nice to see someone else besides me having problems with NGC.
I started sending in coins for certification at PCI and SEGS, then later crossing over the rarer ones to ANACS and was surprised that the PCI graded coins came back in the same grades in the ANACS holder...
I also had problems with NGC not listing the Variety on a MS65 1943 DDO Quarter, even though I paid the extra Variety fees... This Quarter now resides in a PCI Signature Series Holder (J.T.Stanton) with the correct variety, and when I telephoned NGC to advise that PCI had cracked out one of their NGC holdered coins at my request and it now resides in a new PCI holder, they could care less (so much for NGC quality)... I wanted the variety listed on the holder as the Cherry Pickers Guide valued this variety at $500 in MS65 and a non-listed variety at that time was $35.
Many people here will only use/purchase PCGS or NGC TPG Coins...
I myself, will never send another coin to NGC and believe PCGS (IMHO) are overpriced (considering 60% of PCGS Coins submitted to CAC don't meet their standards)...
I sent a number of B/U Morgans to ANACS and believe they were strict on their grading and often wonder if I would have received higher grades if I were a well known dealer with large bulk submissions...
Just sayin'
