One More Old Ancient? Silver Tiny Coin Help ID Please

mds308 Pillar of the Community United States 1721 Posts	Posted 10/03/2012 12:24 pm I have this very old tiny silver coin, smaller than a US dime. Not sure of its origin. It is 12.6mm in diameter and weighs 0.5 grams. Above the crown it appears to be 10 01. Please help me ID and date this coin. Thanks. Likely not worth much in that condition, but hey, I don't have a silver penny in any condition (would love to get one though... if you want to send one, it doesn't matter what period but it has to have a date on it). svslav Pillar of the Community United States 2605 Posts	Posted 10/03/2012 3:12 pm It is from Great Britain, time of William & Mary. The date is above the crown on the reverse. Has to be 1691. This is a Maundy penny, a coin from a set of 1 penny, 2, 3, and 4 pence made for the Maundy ceremony. Report this Post to the Staff
