So as you know, there are many busts of queen Elizabeth, some are good, and others are not so flattering. My question is how many can we, as a numismatic community, identify. Obviously there are the big 4, and 2 additional adaptations used by canada, but literally dozens of different variations have been used throughout the commonwealth. So I'll start. here is a REALLY ugly one used on new zealand silver dollars from 1979-1982. This is not my coin.(luckily)

I'll continue with my favorite effigy on one of my favorite coins, 1953 Southern Rhodesia 1 crown, commemorating Centennial of birth of Cecil Rhodes

Gag on that NZ effigy! I wonder if Her Majesty has to approve the effigies used there. I think she does on Canadian coins (please correct me if I am wrong).

I have a 1 Dollar 1981 New Zealand proof with that effigy. Not my favorite coin, but hey, variety is good! Here is a 10 Dollars 1996 Solomon Islands with a Raphael David Maklouf design. I have plenty more QE II coins, will plan to take some pics of them soon.

About vb's coin, I'd start counting it as a "variation" Canadianpenny was talking about. To me it looks like a rip off the RDM's creation. Definitely it is more crude, starting with the "noodly" hair ... The real thing could be seen on this UK 2 pounds

Florence Mc Nightingown: The lady with the Deadly Lampshade. (Seller & Yeatman: 1066 & All That).
By far the richest source for images of Good Queen Bess can be found on British and British Commonwealth banknotes.

@svslav, that's precisely why I chose to include it in the thread, to me too it seems like a variation. I see that Ian Rank-Broadley hasn't been mentioned yet, I believe all coins since 1998 portraying QE II have been featuring his design. Anyway, here's a 5 Pounds 2010 Alderney commemorating the Royal Engagement:

Not exactly accurate, here's a couple of counterexamples, I think someone (OP?) should start counting how many varieties we already have!

Mr T: that obv. is on a one year type 50 Cents by Vladimir Gottwald, for Australia only. Reasonably easy to get for Oz collectors, but perhaps a little harder for non Oz collectors.
The design was submitted in competition along with the IRB design, but H.M. the Q. preferred the IRB design. It seems that the RAM was allowed by H.M. to use it on an Australian commemorative 50 Cent coin, hence the one year type for this obv.
If she had preferred the Gottwald design, perhaps the IRB design may have never surfaced.
