Here's a strange medallion or possibly advertising counter.

I think it's in brass, about 33 mm diameter, weight 12.37g.

Japanese-Medallion-?

Japanese-Medallion-?

What do the legends say/mean ?

What is it ?

Is there any commercial value ?

someone punched this coin/token with german words.
the legend means: W.MEIER REINACH SCHWEIZ AUS TOKIO
W maier ( name of s.o.) Reinach ( 2 villages in switzerland, either reinach at aargau or reinach near basel)
Schweiz (german for switzerland) aus Tokio (from Tokio)

i think its a private made souvenir or a temple coin from japan.
i think the building shown is the Asakusa temple in tokio.

platinrubel,
Thanks.

What is the image in the centre of the non-temple, side, please ?

Do un-countermarked temple coins of this design exist ?

It's a vintage traveler's novelty item. They were all originally blank, until someone visiting Tokyo paid to have it stamped with their info as a keepsake.
