I purchased a roll of dateless Buffalos in order to pass the time in between true coin purchases. I was wanting to know if it would be "wrong" of me to turn some of them into necklaces and earn back some of the profit. Is it?

I don't, I just wanted to make the money it cost me for the roll back. I only payed $13 with shipping, so its not that big of a deal. Also, I was just going to drill a hole in the indian's hair or above the buffalo's hump. I wasn't going to do all that you did. How much do you think I could sell them for.

I sell mine for $10 with a silver chain so the Coin itself would be around $4 cut. I don't sell many, people just don't want to pay out anything these days. Just drilling a hole would not really do you much good I don't think I am not sure they would gain any interest.

I was going to sell mine for around $5 with a leather chain and antiqued clasps. It all looks good together. I meant sell them to my friends and people at my school, let's just say that they will buy almost anything. Also, I'm only 15 so that seems like a lot of work for some quick cash.

About 15 years back my (now) ex forced me to go to one of those Pow-Wow's for the day and found a few of the Indian Vendors drilling holes on low grade Indian head nickels, place them on a cheap (let's make that a really cheap) bracelet (looked like some sort of pot metal, sure wasn't silver) and would sell it for $15.00 each.
While I did end up enjoying the day there, a big let down for me was the low quality of their workmanship on handmade pieces, and (so-called) Indian Collectables that had a "Made in China" label on the bottom of most of the items...
I like the cut-out piece above and know they sell for a premium, but next to nothing when you factor in the labor involved...

It is complete. I wouldn't say its that bad considered I did the hole with a screw and a sledge hammer. That isn't a joke, I really did.

Thanks...I know it won't win many people over, but I am proud of myself. Especially the tools I had to use when making this one.

YN, there's a lady on ebay who makes GORGEOUS IHC and buff nickel earrings. (The two sides of myself, "I LOVE EARRINGS!!" and " . . . . SHE HOLED A COIN DDDD:" are at war over whether I want to buy a pair.) Hers go for $12-16 a pair.

I would say buy it, but only if the actual hook part is silver so there won't be an infection.
