I was looking at this coin: http://www.austrian-mint.com/eng/Pr...k-of-Vienna2

The proof, silver content, and design are appealing. But I only like one other coin in the series: http://www.austrian-mint.com/eng/Pr...-Klagenfurt2

I'm conflicted with owning only the coins I like and completing a set.

Does it makes sense to complete an entire set if you don't like the other coins?

How do other collectors feel about that?

I guess most people need a reason for having something, it is part of a series, or they collect a theme, but you can buy what you like and just have a coins that you like series.

This is a late reply: I collected the set. They also sold a booklet to hold them in. I purchased the booklet but regretted it immediately as it was cheap and nasty. Afteer finishing the set I decided not to collect any of the 10 Euro coins any more. I still collect the 25 Euro coins(bimetalic: Silver ring with niobium centre) These have less silver in them but are much more interesting.
