I know they are out there, Lets see'em !

Thrace Apollonia Pontika c.BC 400
AR Diobol 1.13g
Obverse: Front Facing Face of Apollo
Reverse: Thracian Anchor The Letter A and a Crawfish. The Anchor of this style was used on coins of Seleucids much later.
I had posted this on another forvm and the consensus was that it was not a 1990's high quality reproduction, it does not match and of the fake dies and NGC says its Ancient Silver...the elusive blue coin....

The coin I posted is Blue in hand and the photo is a pretty good approximation of true color.

It wasn't blue, but I saw a purple coin a few days ago while browsing online, think it might have been on ebay...

I can probably count on my hand the number I have seen....I have seen more in bronze but maybe 1 other in silver. I once saw a large seleucid? tetradrachm at a show in Springfield, MA in '05. It was really dark blue but way out of my price range and I didn't know enough nor have the money to buy it.

right column, coins one and five

I have no experience with blue silver other than the rainbow look shown above which usually has other colors mixed in. On my screen, the OP coin does not look blue. I'd bet Steve's is a photo problem on a clean silver coin.
