First Welcome to CCF!

By no means an expert on Chinese coins....but looks like a bad modern counterfeit to me? There are China specialists here one will answer sooner or later.

Thank you! Would be nice to know indeed if it is legit. I was thinking China also, this coin is so worn that its hard to read. I sure hope its not a counterfeit coin, if it is...atleast we will know. Thanks again!

It is a machine-struck cash coin from Kwangtung (Guangdong) province. It is almost certainly genuine. And it is, indeed, a misaligned hole error.
