Hey guys where would you put the grading on this one. Has some subtle rainbow toning forming.

I am going to guess its a MS coin looking at the Reverse because for the Reverse to be that mushy looking the Obverse couldn't have been struck very well either so I will guess MS 63-64. I believe there is way to much luster to be a circulated coin, if it is its a mid to high AU coin

I am not sure if if is MS but it should be at the very least AU-55/58. I am unsure if what I am seeing on the hair, face, and fields is a disturbance of luster which would most likely keep it from MS or just a bit of haze which would not.

My opinion is AU58 with a very weak strike.

I'm seeing what appear to be signs of circ rub on the obverse portrait in the hair just below the LIBE in the crown.

That is the high point of the obverse design ... hence my AU58 call.

There is a bit of a haze on the coin, has kind of a gold tone in hand. I picked up a few of these from a guy and this was the weakest struck.....but I couldn't really find any wear on it. However I could be on board with an AU 58....but lets assume it's MS....where do you think it would grade?

I would say AU 53-55...The details are just not there. A MS example would have sharper detail on the hair (under Lib) and wreath (up the left side) on the reverse. Compare it to a MS64 example on ebay.

AU range with a weak strike. Die cracks are an obvious sign of a worn die. If the V nickel has die cracks, you won't have solid hair lines on Liberty's head.

OOOOO harsh LOL, do you have any V-nicks you would like to sell me.

It is a pretty weak strike. If what appears to be detail gone was wear it would not have been so inconsistent. I actually think it is a low-end BU coin, but one I would probably expect to sell for AU money. AU and low BU is not that far apart in price for this date anyways.
