Hello,

I need some basic advice here. One of my banks sends all small face bills back to the fed. I bought 390 worth of 5,10,20 last week. I am gonna keep 1 each of the 5 and 10.

I was looking up some seriel numbers, and I just dont understand. I see the runs, I'm sure none of these are special.

I will list these 3 numbers from 1995 10$ bills
h07044289a
e12482869a
b38287848d

Now what I see is the h bill is the lowest run listed for the 3, is that correct?

When I look at the totals for 1995, it looks like seriel numbers starting with I are the good ones, I'm sure they are worth maybe 10.25 anyway, but just curious for what to look for.

Thanks for the help. My banker here tells me he sends about this much back each week, and I'm more then welcome to buy them each time. the oldest bill in this batch was 1985, he tells me sometimes he gets much older stuff, I figure its fun to get them to look at anyway, but really trying to make sure I'm looking at the right thing when I look these numbers up.

You are correct,H printed the least amount. I noticed you are focusing on the age of the notes. I think the condition of the small face notes are more important then the date on the note,IMHO. Also, keep an eye out for star notes and web press one dollar notes. There are also the $20 SOI's to look for.

Thanks for the reply john. I just checked my 20's, should I keep any SOI bills?
I have one 2006 IK90519934B, looks like it to me.

Condition? I kept a few but I have not seen any big premiums on the SOI's and I don't really see these catching on. If you can afford to hang on to a few for awhile then do so.

Pretty interesting on those SOI notes. I didn't know about them. So is the sheet 5x10 notes then?

I wonder if the BEP will ever sell uncut sheets of them? Probably not though, since they've been around for a few years.
