I deal primarily in US coins but ss part of a larger collection, I just picked up a roll of uncirculated 1965 Dimes that are in wonderful condition and appear to be proof-like. Silver value only or is there a collector market?

I would say they have some value over circulated. Not a lot, mind you, unless you find the right buyer.

Numismedia has them at 6 x face...if you find the right buyer.

Oops! I got tripped up on the Canadian thread again.

How do you tell the difference between a PL and SP? This is a roll of PL... is that common or were PL issued only in sets? (Sorry, I'm a real novice on Canadian modern coins!))

If you can find the right buyer you may get a small premium
I have bought more than a few rolls like you mentioned for spot when they come available at my dealer

Canada circulation silver from the 60s was usually well struck and proof-like in appearance. It unlikely (but possible) the the OP has a roll of dimes from PL sets.

After looking at these more closely at home, they appear to me to be business strikes but very nice business strikes. The US Mint should have paid attention as our dimes from that time are terrible in comparison. Here's an example of one.

beautiful coins, have you searched for any errors or varieties? I'm assuming you have, and not found anything?

Not a Canadian collector... what errors or varieties should I be looking for in a 1965 dime?

I don't see any varieties listed in my Charlton Catalog.

no major known varieties, I was just thinking like die cracks, rotation errors, doubling. probably nothing from just one roll though.
