Hello,

Please describe each of the coins I have attached in this thread and state if you feel they are genuine and/or worth any significant value.

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.,
mdpmedia

Sorry for the poor shots but these were taken by a third party

The first and third are Chinese cash coins, the first looks like a Szechuan 200 cash, issued in the republic era. Third is some kind of cash , looks like empire era. Will have to see the other side. The center is some type of charm. We will need to see better pics of both sides to be sure.

The third coin is a Yunnan 3 mace 6 candereens or 50 cents from the Guangxu era. If real, this is quite rare even in this condition.

Hello David,

What simple on-site basic test(s) could a potential buyer perform on this 3rd coin to ensure that it authentic before paying for it?

Also is this 3rd coin a Y# 253 minted in 1908?

Thanks

Should the opposite side of the 3rd coin look like the attached photo?

There are some light marks in the center of the coin, I cannot tell if those are the "manchu" characters or not?
