I was doing some inquires on a potential $2.5 Indian gold purchase, sent two offers out and received two "we're sorry to inform you..." replies. One for a piece that "just sold" and another for a price that had not been updated since April 2012, since then the price of course has went UP, and has been made "unavailable".

Sigh. I'll just stuff my "slush fund" back under the mattress...for now.

How much more did the price go up?

Gold has gone up about $100 per ounce, since last April.

Gold is coming down a bit now, perhaps it will continue its decline. May be for the best anyway? But yes, I know that you "hate to wait."

Are you looking for a slabbed coin or raw and what condition. I know someone who I can get a nice $2.50 Indian from at a very good price for you.

Yes, I am trying to fill my 7070 with slabbed gold; I am shooting for all MS61, but may be persuaded for something really close. I am looking for all except the $5 Liberty.

Thanks!
