http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/major...-prod1560004Previous 1812 series pack sold out! Thanks to Major General Sir Isaac Brock (1769-1812), Canada was able to develop as a transcontinental nation due to his successful defence of Upper Canada in 1812. Brock's initiative and bravery immediately made him a hero and was one of the most well-known Canadian military figures of the War of 1812. His actions earned him a knighthood in the Order of Bath and many posthumous accolades, including the formal title "The Hero of Upper Canada." If you are collecting War of 1812 coins, then this is a wonderful opportunity for you to add to your beautiful historical collection. Special features: • You receive ten 25-cent coins for $2.50! No tax + free shipping* • Five coins feature a painted Government of Canada 1812 logo, other five non-painted coins features frosting on the profile of Major-General Sir Isaac Brock. • 2nd in the series of War of 1812 coins. Design: Your coins feature Major-General Sir Isaac Brock against an intricately engraved background comprised of the words "The War of 1812" in both English and French. Artist Bonnie Ross used various image sources of Brock to design the ideal image. Also featured in the design is the painted Government of Canada War of 1812 logo: it is composed of stylistic 1812 typography encompassed by a stylized maple leaf with ecru swords crossing behind it. Nice, thanks JP. 'Please allow 2 days for processing, then you should receive your order within 5-10 business days.' Lets see how accurate they are this time.

Well, is it 60k per individual coin, per individual pack or per pack of 10? That makes a huge difference!

Circulation coin - total mintage is 12.5M though only 60,000 10 coin sets offered online.
"The new 25-cent commemorative circulation coin honouring Major-General Sir Isaac Brock, hero of the War of 1812, was unveiled today at Fort-George, Ontario. A total of 12.5 million Sir Isaac Brock quarters, half of which are coloured, will be entering Canadian circulation. Look for it in your change, and collect the entire War of 1812 series!"
Also a coin exchange at the Ottawa boutique today.

Collector cards are being handed out at the coin exchange this weekend (at least in Ottawa).
Also, hoping to find a way to get one via mail. I suspect there will be a sign up like they did with the 2011 legendary series.

Details on coin exchanges http://www.mint.ca/store/product/mi...6&lang=en_CAAlso from the mint's facebook page. "Visit the Royal Canadian Mint boutique in Ottawa, 320 Sussex Drive, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 12th, 13th and 14th, and bring 25-cents to exchange for the new coin. We'll have both coloured, and non-coloured versions available. We'll also have free collector cards, and the HMS Shannon $2 coin to get your collection started!" Collector cards are cardboard holders in which you insert coins; like this one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Canada...em519e195d54 The mint routinely give these away.

Except for the denomination, the design appears to be the same as that used for the $4.00 fine silver version of the Brock commemorative. I've got one of those on order as well. The RCM's 'War of 1812' coin series is turning into a nicely executed program combining circulation and NCLT coinage. I'm pleased!

Thank you for sharing.
I missed out on the HMS Shannon and probably this also because it cost $13 to ship to US......
Anyone know of any other way to buy this and similar coins? Any members on here thinking of getting extra sets and sell back to CCF members or a reasonable price & shipping?
