Too bad about the condition or it would be a keeper.

I keep anything with four zeros at the beginning as its considered a low serial number

I would definetly keep it. Especially since it is only a $1 bill.

I would take it for a small premium. I have a few 4 zero notes including a star note so it would go nicely with the others.

The fact is that I get less and less worked up over 4 leading zeros and pass on many of the ones I get due to condition. Normally I would save a note with the serial 00001xxx and since I haven't spent this one yet I might just save it.

Generally I save a note because :
1) It has some significance to me like my birthday (any condition).
2) I need it for a set/collection (any condition).
3) It has value (good condition)

This one fits into none of those categories but nonetheless has a neat number. There are times when I will carry a note around for a few days while deciding its fate. I usually end up spending those notes sooner or later. If I put it in a sleeve and store it away it generally is safe.

Too bad on the condition.

It would have been great for a fan of the Munsters or the band!

I think it might be worth saving, even in that condition, due to the serial #.

What series is it?

I'd hold it, or put it up on ebay. It has 4 leading zero's followed by repeating non-zeros, you'll get a bidder.

Nice find!

I would keep it, but I sort of like the number 13. My daughter was born on Oct. 13th, and no it wasn't a friday, it was a Saturday.
