Picked up a 2009 Lincoln in proof for $40 from the local coin shop earlier in the week. Then went back to my lucky pawn shop and bought 1991 Korean Dollar in MS (I took in a handful of movies and games to just clean out some of my stuff so while it was $35 I just paid $11.99 after trade).

Not telling they still have like 8 or so that I need everything from the the Vietnam 3 coin set, to an Ellis Island and even some Olympics. I'll tell you after I get everything I need haha. So far they are winning the commemorative dollar war 4-2 versus the coin shop (although the coin shop is still holding me 3 more but now I am saving for a Trade dollar in 2-3 weeks so no more commemorative dollars for awhile unless I find some more stuff to clean out of the house for the pawn shop haha)

Oh they do have 2 more Koreans by the way if you would like me to pick you up one, one is listed at $35 and the other at $40 no idea why the difference in price they only sell their dollars by spot so nothing they have is more than $40.

I just looked up my list I made of what they have no Civil war dollar sorry.

They still have that I need
Us Veterans Commemorative 3 coin set
1990 Eisenhower
1986 Ellis Island
1994 US Capitol
1993 Bill of Rights (2 coin set with the silver half too)
1992 White House
1995 Special Olympics
1983 LA Olympics Discus
1992 Olympics Baseball player dollar gymnastic half set

So they still have 11 dollars I need and 2 halves. The coin shop is holding for me a 2002 SLC Olympic, Library of Congress and Congressional dollars. So 14 still in town to add to my set, man thats going to take awhile.

Didnt think Id get lucky enough for them to have it.

I definitely know the feeling of wanting to get everything. I like to pretend everything on my ebay watch list is being held for me lol.

Id get all the ones from the pawn shop you can while you can since if theyre anything like the ones by me they wont hold things.

I'm saving for a Trade dollar now, I decided they have a really nice AU with chop marks or a VF problem free at the coin shop and I will have the money before the end of the month before I have to start saving for Christmas so now is a good time. I have never owned a Trade dollar and its one of my favorite coins right up there with Standing Liberty quarter, Walking Liberty half, Buffalo nickel and Indian Head penny and I have never owned one. I have owned great coins of those other 4 over the years but I have never owned a Trade dollar and I am going to strike while the iron is hot so to speak. I might grab another one since I can take in trade but that might be it for the next month or so.

Yea so many coins so little time, they don't seem to sell these as in the last month that I have been buying them the only ones they have sold have been to me. It seems everyone in my area or at least the ones who do buy silver or bullion collect the American Silver Eagles. I have not been able to find an Eagle in any pawn shop for the life of me (next Monday I am just going to buy one from the coin shop tired of looking even though if I could find one in the pawn shops I'd get them for cheaper, coin shop wants $42 well above spot). But that Eagle hole in my type set has been bugging me, I was looking around for items to clean out and trade and I think I have an extra dvd player lying around (upgraded to bluray players) and some other items I am sure I can trade for another one of these beauties.

You might actually be able to do better than 42 online even with a single coin order or on ebay with the spot dip the last few days. Even when silver was around 35 42 is a bit stiff for a bullion coin but I had the same issue with the hole in mine. I bit the bullet and got one knowing silver was to high but its such a big hole in the album lol

Yea finding commemoratives and bullion coins haven't been difficult but finding an Eagle has been quite the project. I have a coworker that bought a ton of silver like 5 years ago when they went in at work on a huge lot and hes going to look to see if he has an eagle for me (he said he knows he has a ton of maple leafs which brings up an entirely different dilemma because I like the maple leaf and the Chinese pandas and I want to get one of each again as I love collecting those when I collected more bullion). If he can find one he will sell it to me at spot, I might buy one of his maple leafs too. But I love that coin and its like this big gaping hole in my type set as it will complete that page (I mean I think that is the only page ever that I have managed to finish on my 7070 in all the years). I got a little extra cash today gotta refrain from doing fillers gall darn it (they had a junk bin to go through of Shield nickels and Flying Eagle cents that would be great cheap fillers as I think they were just $12 a coin and I have found great coins in their bins before), i'd rather it went to another commemorative and or eagle and I can just save up for a nice xf-au in those coins.

Man that sucks basebal my pawn shop only wants $50 for the bill of rights set that is both the dollar and the silver half a much better deal if I don't say so myself.

I managed to sell a bunch of stuff on ebay and when the money clears I think I might get a nice type coin and put the rest towards Christmas. And then my coworker sold me my missing Silver Eagle today at $25, I just joked we could do spot and he said for you I will do it for $25. So was a great week.

Does your coworker have any more ASEs lol. Theres another pawn shop I might check tomorrow if I get the chance, but I much prefer the prices of your shop.

I was actually pretty surprised by the price since they really didnt have any coins not sure what they didnt just treat it as bullion, it was a large shop though so they had the space to sit on it for a while if they wanted. Needless to say I walked out with nothing
