Well since they stopped making the president dollars how do you plan on completing your collection.
What I have been doing for the national park quarters and other coins is to get a couple UN-circulated coin sets per year.
This way I get all the coins for my albums.
I just can't see paying the high cost for the US Mint rolls.

I just get the uncir sets as well. I'm doing a parks quarter album too and it lets me get both at once then just sell or spend the rest.

coin shop sells them to me for $2 a coin so I will just pay the premium from them, they order full rolls from the mint.

Might try banks. Some of the ones by me tell me they have piles of them and no one wants them.

The uncirculated and proofs for the collector sets are not affected, and will be continued until the series ends in 2016.

I just keep buying them at face from Littleton. I got the first 20 for $20, and all 8 Sac (4P and 4D) for $8 and 20 ATB Quarters for $5! Plus, they send me free cents with each purchase! So far I have MADE 9 cents!

I bought about 20 from the local bank earlier this yr and was able to fill a few spots in my presidential album. I have also tried those change making machines. When I have gotten them either from the bank or machine it is usually a mixture of them, unless you buy from the bank $25 worth. $25 worth and they might give you a roll with only one kind, but if you buy less they'll give you a variety usually.

Roscue2 - My kid has decided he wants to collect a full set of the $1 President coins. Are you saying that I can go to my local bank and get a bunch of rolls of these coins to sort through? It never occurred to me that I could do that.

You may be able to get some of them. The more recent ones have been collector issued only so if the bank had them it was because someone broke open a mint or proof set and spent it. But the first couple years you should be able to find at the bank

Some banks are still holding on to previous year presidential rolls, 2007 - 2011 after 2011 the dollar coins were no longer available for circulation. Although I think you might be hard pressed to find any 2007 - 2009 coins or rolls.

BaySinger - How do you get those good deals from Littleton? I see 2007-2011 (20 coins) for over $60. How did you get 20 for $20? I would love to not pay triple face value!

I plan to continue to collect the proof sets. I had started both collections, the other being the business strike. When it was announced I just spent the business strikes figuring "why bother"?
