I once "Pocket bought it now" on a VERY expensive Wrestlemania Commemorative Hotel Card. I have heard of pocket dialing, but never pocket buy it now, until I did it!

I was out walking the dog late one night, listening to a podcast about wrestling. The host mentioned that the WWE creates unique hotel keycards for the talent and staff for each year's event, and a lot of wrestlers keep them as keepsakes. SOooo, of course I had to check and see what they sold for! I opened my ebay mobile app, searched, found one, and was looking at it. It was selling for $300-400 I believe. I locked my screen (or so I thought!), put my phone away, and continued my walk.

I got home, went to look at my ebay again, and my default screen was a list of a sellers items, none of which was coins, my normal browsing category. I hit back, and the app went to an "unpaid for item" page. I hit back again, and it said "Congrats on winning!". My stomach hit the floor. I immediately emailed the seller, and thankfully he understood my mistake. I apologized profusely for giving him hope that the item had sold, and for the inconvenience, thanked him for this understanding, and left him glowing feedback just for the heck of it!

Bullet dodged!
